Life Cycle Analysis

Life Cycle Analysis

Carbon-Zero’s experienced team is here to guide you through an in-depth carbon assessment at the product level, supporting your commitment to delivering sustainable products.

A Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) evaluates the environmental impact of a product throughout its entire lifecycle—whether it’s from production to delivery (cradle to gate), production to waste disposal (cradle to grave), or ideally, production to recycling (cradle to cradle).
By examining every stage of your product, from design and materials selection to sourcing, manufacturing, product use, and end-of-life disposal, the LCA will provide detailed insights into carbon emissions. This enables you to identify opportunities for improvements that can reduce the environmental impact of your product while meeting the growing demand for more sustainable solutions in the market.

A PCF is a more basic Life Cycle Assessment of a product, considering only the carbon emissions from the life cycle, and none of the other environmental emissions or impacts looked at in an LCA.

It presents the same opportunities to consider all of the elements in its Life Cycle elements and the carbon emissions from each stage of its life, from the Design, Materials, Manufacturing Processes & Recyclability etc.

The benefit of a PCF will be:
An improved product design, reducing carbon emissions in its life cycle, which can be compared against its original design and that of a competing product to determine the carbon benefits from the more sustainable product.
From its lower embodied carbon and more often greater benefits from extended life (less replacement costs for product and installation) and perhaps recyclability.
